In the evening, the Duke and the Duchess attended an event in celebration of contemporary culture at the Fotografiska Gallery. Guests included people from the film, music and television industry, theatre, dance, art and sports. The Duke delivered a speech.
The Duke and Duchess arrived by boat to the Gallery, allowing them to get a great view of Stockholm by night.
The four Royals posed for the photographers for one last time during this visit – which has been a huge success. Both royal couples seem to get along very well and I’m sure they will be able to share a lot in the future together – as both of them will one day be the King/Queen of their country.
The Gallery currently has an exhibition by the British photographer Nick Veasy. TRH toured the exhibition before joining the reception. The Duke revealed that his wife is very much into photographing their children – she is said to do so every day.
Afterwards, the Duke held a speech. The full speech can be read here.

On arrival, the two couples greeted eachother very warmly. They seem to get along very well. Before entering the Insitute, they posed for the photographers.
Inside, the party will meet with scientists researching psychology and hear about Sweden’s approach to mental health issues. They will also hear more about the Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM) programma, that focusses on 14-16 years old to increase knowledge on mental health.

After this morning’s very sporty start of the Royal Tour, The Duke and Duchess changed and travelled to the Royal Palace to attend a luncheon hosted by King Carl-Gustav and Queen Silvia. From the Swedish Royal Family, Crown Princess Victoria (40) and her husband Prince Daniel (44) also joined in. The Crown Princess and her husband also attended the Royal Wedding in 2011, this was the first time and until this day the only time the two couples met. They will spend most of the time the Duke and Duchess are in Sweden together.
After the luncheon, the Royal couple were joined by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel for a walk through the historical centre of the city to the Nobel Museum. There is time for a walkabout to greet the crowds on one of Stockholm’s oldest squares. A lot of people came to the square to see the Crown Princess couple and their British guests despite the cold weather.
