The First Portrait of Prince Louis & A Belated Birthday picture for Princess Charlotte!

The first official portraits of Prince Louis were released tonight. On one of the pictures, big sister Princess Charlotte (3) can also be seen. They were taken by their proud mother, the Duchess of Cambridge at Kensington Palace. Prince Louis was born on Monday 23 April, just under two weeks ago.

The first of the two portraits was been taken on Princess Charlotte’s 3rd birthday on Wednesday. To our surprise, no new pictures of the Princess were released by the Palace for that occassion. Usually, a new picture (or a set of pictures) was released for every birthday. The Cambridges might just have been waiting a few days so they can release this lovely picture of the birthday girl with her baby brother.

On a second picture, the prince can be seen on his own. The photograph was taken bu the Duchess on the 26th of April, when Prince Louis was only 3 days old. I’m under the impression that Prince Louis looks a lot like his father and uncle when they were a baby! On the other hand, I think Princess Charlotte is a spitting image of her mother.

Pictures of the baby prince were not expected yet, since it took approximately a month before we saw the first photographs of prince George and Princess Charlotte after their births in 2013 and 2015. We might get another set of pictures before the Christening, likely not until later this month or the beginning of next month, with the three Cambridge kids together.
