Prince Harry & Meghan attend reception for Commonwealth Youth Forum delegates

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are attending a reception for Commonwealth Youth Forum delegates at Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London. Earlier this week, Her Majesty the Queen appointed prince Harry as Commonwealth Youth Ambassador. The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) is held in London this week, and will be formally opened at Buckingham Palace tomorrow.  The CHOGM summit is held every two years to discuss challenges the 53 Commonwealth nations face. At the same time, several forums are being held on a wide range of topics. This particular forum is about youth, and it was opened by the new Commonwealth Youth Ambassador (Prince Harry) yesterday. It is thought that this new role will form a key part of working life of the couple after their marriage.

The couple met with delegates taking part in the forum. For Meghan, it is the first major event she is attending on behalf of the Royal Family. According to her husband-to-be, Meghan is ‘hugely excited’ to start working for the Commonwealth in the near future.

Princess Eugenie of York is also in attendance at the forum today. She is engaged to Jack Brooksbank, and the couple will marry on 12 October in the same Chapel as Harry and Meghan next month.

Meghan is wearing a dress by Altuzarra, a blazer by Camilla and Marc (an Australian brand), a bag by Oroton (another Australian brand), black Tamara Mellon pumps, and gold Birks earrings.
