The Duchess of Cambridge visits ‘Victorian Giants’ at the National Portrait Gallery

The Duchess of Cambridge visited the exhibition ‘Victorian Giants: The Birth of Art Photography’ at the National Portrait Gallery in London tonight. The Duchess has been Patron of the National Portrait Gallery since January 2012 (a full list of HRH’s patronages can be viewed here). The exhibition can be visited at the NPG until 20 May 2018.

HRH has selected images from the exhibition for which she has written personal captions that are displayed alongside the photographs. The Duchess has also written a foreword to the exhibition catalogue. As she has a degree in Art History and is a keen photographer herself, it was very fitting for her to work with the NPG on this exhibition.

The Duchess is wearing a new floral dress by Orla Kiely tonight. She is also wearing a cream Jimmy Choo clutch, her praline Gianvito Rossi pumps and her big green amethyst and pink topaz Kiki McDonough earrings.

Earlier today, the Duke and Duchess, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended the first Royal Foundation Forum. More on that can be read in this post.
