The Duchess of Cambridge celebrates her 36th birthday today. Happy birthday Your Royal Highness! It is thought that there has been a private celebration over the weekend at Amner Hall and there will possibly be some kind of private celebration at Kensington Palace today. Both Prince George and Princess Charlotte have to go to school today: prince George starts his spring term at St. Thomas’s Battersea and Princess Charlotte will attend her second day at Willcock’s Nursery School (new pictures were released for her first day yesterday).

For Her Royal Highness, the year ahead will be very special. She will give birth to the couple’s third child in April and she will be attending the wedding of her beloved brother-in-law in May. The third Cambridge baby will also be christened, it is expected that this will be in the summer. There will be lots of Royal engagements this year for the Duchess, probably in the first months of the year and in the autumn, since she will be on maternity leave in most of the spring and summer. There will be at least one foreign visit: to Sweden and Norway later this month. It is possible that there will be another one for the couple in the autumn.

Both the Duke and the Duchess are scheduled to start engagements tomorrow: the Duke will visit Royal Marsden in Chelsea and the CALMzone to support their new campaign, while the Duchess will be in Feltham to visit the Reach Academy in support of her patronage Place2Be.

Later today on the blog: Prince Harry and Meghan will be in Brixton for their first 2018 engagement together!
